Review of Moon (2009) by David A — 01 Dec 2013
An eerie and haunting look into the deep loneliness of space, Moon has Sam Rockwell dominate the screen as an astronaut stationed on the moon and just "a few days away from retirement" and about to return to his family.
To say anymore of the plot would be doing viewers a disservice, but suffice to say this slow paced, thoughtful science fiction relies on the powerhouse performance of its lead and the beautiful visuals.
Lingers in the memory long after the credits have rolled, the most powerful example of smart sci-fi since 2001-A Space Odyssey . A must watch.
