Review of Moon (2009) by Lewis E — 24 Aug 2014
Groundhog Day in space where 90% of the movie is spent examining the functional particulars of how his life has been made cyclic. Which quickly becomes, like all overexplicative scifi, boring and predictable and makes the story no richer.
Ugh. Never in the history of Groundhog Day's lauding has anyone complained that the vague divine justice force wasn't satisfactory- being stuck in one day is just a cool idea everyone's toyed around and had fun with.
Scifi is so stupid sometimes.
