Review of Moon (2009) by Leonard E — 25 Oct 2014
So I think Duncan Jones loved Alien and 2001 Space Odyssey that he put those movies together and this was the offspring. One of Sam's plants is even named 'Ridley' after Ridley Scott. I can't tell you what I really think of the premise without spoilers, so I'll just say this movie is great.
A real brain bender, visually striking, and Sam Rockwell's performance is outstanding. Especially considering my only previous reference for his work was as comic relief in Galaxy Quest. If you liked Gravity, think of this as 'Gravity' on the moon's surface.
Grade A.
