Review of Moon (2009) by Lovro H — 18 Sep 2015
I've had this movie on my 'to-watch' list for about 2 years now and now I've finally sat down and watched it! It was great! The story is about an astronaut who was sent to the Moon for 3 years to supervise the project of collecting the power of the Moon, or something like that (I don't remember fully because I saw it last month, just didn't review it then).
Things go south once the astronaut has an accident on the Moon's surface involving a vehicle. He wakes up the next day in the infirmary with no memory of anything that happened. Soon he goes out on the surface again only to find his own body in a vehicle.
I will not spoil anything that happens from there on, but I'll just say that the ending is very clever and brilliant. The acting was fantastic! Sam Rockwell is great as the astronaut and his character is well developed (you actually care for what happens to him).
Kevin Spacey voices a robot that does pretty much everything in the Moon base. The movie looks gorgeous, especially when the outside of the base is seen. All in all, a fantastic movie with a great story, brilliant ending and great performance.
I would recommend checking this movie out!
