Review of Moolaadé (2004) by Nathan B — 24 Apr 2008
Has a devastating understated approach which is disguised by a charming exoticness and vibrancy. but when the real circumstances of the village life are made apparent the movie becomes really disturbing.
it's a charming, potent movie, even my mother got what was happening in the last scenes and she can't read the subtitles.
