Review of Mood Indigo (2013) by Paula D — 13 Sep 2013
So imaginative, sarcastic, full of metaphors that it warrants multiple viewings to understand all the underlying social satires. The story is, however, so tragic that it may not be an easy joyride many would imagine from the trailer.
All the actors and actresses perform well but the true hero is unarguably the art direction which truly is spectacular. Although jumpy in parts and somewhat hard to really relate emotionally, it is the feast to the eyes and the senses and the best work from Gondry in years.
