Review of Mood Indigo (2013) by Private U — 23 Sep 2013
Where all the toys and intricacies of gondry's world have the potential to be a distraction, or an end in themselves, in this movie they were crucial to the ultimate purpose. without immersing us in this delightful clockwork dr suess wonderland so thoroughly, gradually withdrawing its delights wouldn't have the same weight.
as we settle into a dingier world of metal and cobwebs, and finally into black and white, we keenly feel each absence.
