They're the Knights of the Round Table, and they dance when 'ere they're able. Monty Python take on the legend of King Arthur and the Quest for the Holy Grail, with predictably hilarious slapstick and satirical outcomes.
The "story" features King Arthur travelling looking for knights to join him at Camelot - Sir Bedevere, Sir Lancelot the Brave, Sir Galahad the Pure, Sir Robin the Not-Quite-As-Brave-As-Sir-Lancelot and the aptly titled Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Film. Together, they are tasked by a rather bored God to find the Holy Grail to unite Britain under one Godly banner.
Along the way they encounter many iconic characters, such as the Black Night, the Constitutional Peasants, the Knights Who Say "Ni", the Beast of Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhhh and the Almighty Tim.
It's a brilliant send up of, well, everything. Starring Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Jones, Michael Palin, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam, this Pythons film is a hilarious and excessively quotable film and still one of the greatest comedies of all time (although not the greatest Python film - that honour still goes to the Life of Brian).
If you don't understand or like Python humour though, best avoid. After all, it is a silly place.
