The one and only. This is THE essential farcical comedy all revolving around King Arthur and his knights, who are on a quest from God to seek the Holy Grail. What can you say about this that hasn't already been said before? Even if you've never seen it, you've surely been around people riffing it without your knowing.
This is the Monty Python troupe on the very top of their game, and there is a sick genius here that transcends budgetary constraints. Every single scene is reference worthy and laugh out loud funny, and it is one of those comedies that just gets funnier every time you see it, which is damn hard to accomplish, because so much of comedy relies on the element of surprise.
From the knights who say ni to the black knight to the killer rabbit to the dissertation on African and European swallows, there's plenty here to keep you rolling around in your seat. Every scene is not only memorable, it's iconic, and this is a cult classic for a reason.
It's the type of comedy that's timeless, and I don't see this ever fading away into obscurity.
