Review of Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) by Lucas M — 20 Apr 2012
Some pick the greatest movie of all time to be classics like The Godfather and Star Wars. Others pick cult hits like Shawshank and others. I pick this. The Pythons' first motion picture outing is fantastic.
The film's sense of humour is incredibly silly, but nonetheless some of the scenes are laugh-until-you-cry hilarious, including every encounter with the villainous French taunters, and the Oscar-worthy song "Knights of the Round Table" Some of the scenes are utterly ridiculous, some make no sense but it still makes for an absolute laugh riot of a film.
My pick of the greatest movie of all time. 10/10.
