Review of Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) by Donald W — 16 Mar 2014
This is the funniest movie ever made. Every line is a joke. It's aimed at a British audience so some of the jokes my not make sense to Americans. Most of the jokes made fun of English politics and history.
I first saw this movie at the old Aggie Theater in downtown Stillwater, OK. I laughed every time they clacked two cocoanuts together. My friend who went with me didn't quite get it. He laughed the first time but didn't see the point in repeating the joke.
I've got the movie on Laserdisc now. I got it as soon as it was available. When I was in college and played D&D we patterned our games after this movie. Just like in the movie if our party was out numbered we all said, "Run away, run away.
".
