I came to this movie expecting to need medical attention before all was said and done. As it happened, the disneyfication was agreeably minimal, the acting was not entirely awful and the time passed relatively painlessly.

Here is an example of a movie that makes chaperoning a pair of tweens less of a sentence and more of a pleasure.
