Review of Monsters vs Aliens (2009) by Trystan C — 23 Jul 2012
Hugely entertaining in 3D (no pun intended) but how good would it be had I just rented it? Probably not all that great. I notice these animated movies are becoming kind of formulaic: Get whoever the "hot" stars are right now (in this case, Seth Rogen and all his friends) and make them voice either crazy animals or something else that isn't human in some sort of ridiculous situation.
This one definitely had some shining comedy moments, but that's about it. What can I say, I'm excited for "Up!".
