Did monsters need a sequel? No. Even if it's a prequel. It was predictable but from the beginning you can tell the movie has heart. Some parts that were pretty predictable were still fun. You have to have heart to do that.

There was this one scene in particular towards the end where I foresaw literally everything and it turned out to be my favorite scene. A nice movie to see with the kids but not for anything above matinee.
