Review of Monsters University (2013) by Aidan K — 18 Aug 2014
As a frat comedy, it certainly is funny, though Pixar is turning into another Golan-Globus Productions (Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo). They make bad movies (see any bad animated film, though DreamWorks and Disney have done worse, including The Croods, [more like The Crudes], Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, How to Train Your Dragon, and others) but they don't care as long as they try and be lowest common denominator.
Monsters University is better than Monsters Inc., with the college hazing, nerds, jerky jocks, and others. This is a modern-day Revenge of the Nerds at best.
