Review of Monsters, Inc. (2001) by The Critic ( — 31 Mar 2013
Monsters Inc. (2001):
This charming, beautifully animated tale is an engaging piece from the word go. John Goodman and Billy Crystal bring loveable monsters Sully and Mike to life, injecting much of their own contrasting personalities into their respective roles. And who better than the most adorable child to ever be generated by a computer to add turmoil to their world?
There's plenty of fun to be had here and this all builds to an effectively sentimental third act that's handled with just the right mixture of thrills and heart.
A consistently entertaining and memorable film that will have broad appeal.
