Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by Michael O — 06 Apr 2008
Essentially a story about a man who tries to break free of his hateful upbringing in the south. It is made more effective by the relationship he shares with his father and his son who are the polar opposites that he is stuck between.
Maybe laid on a little thick in places but overall it is a solid story with good performances.
