Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by Travis T — 23 May 2008
I think this movie is way overrated. It wasn't near as good as everyone said it was. It was just a sad, dysfunctional story of the racist south. I do not know why Halle won an Oscar. Nothing of her performance was legendary.
The thing I love about Marc Forster films is his use of great music with his visuals. That aspect is very stimulating. Movie lacked something though and I think that was a good script.
