Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by Ed S — 20 Jun 2008
Not really what I was expecting. Quite arthouse in style, and distinctly un-Hollywood. Had it's moments, and it's generally well made all round - save for a few overlong scenes. Yet somehow it was hard to engage as much as I expected to, although the story of HB's character certainly tugged the old heart strings a bit.
