Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by Chosen 7 — 14 Aug 2008
It was literally painful to sit through this movie. I would probably rank this film in my top 10 worst movies ever list. The movie drags on like no other, I could have fallen asleep during it and woke up and not have missed a single damn thing.
The reason I'm giving this a half a star more than it deserves is because of Heath Ledger's great performance even if he's only in it for like 20 minutes, and Halle Berry's decent performance though not Oscar-worthy, in my opinion, despite the fact she won it.
Oh and Billy Bob Thorton is probably the worst actor that ever lived. He's only had 2 decent performances in his pathetic acting existence (Bad Santa, Friday Night Lights). Anyways if you want a good movie to sleep to here it is otherwise, stear clear.
