Review of Monster's Ball (2001) by Tommy M — 17 Feb 2009
This is one of those films that has a strong underlying power and many of its strongest points are the ones left unspoken. The performances are great, and the story is intense, but the second half really falters from a much slower pace.
However, the final scene does serve up a stunning redemption that will leave the viewer swarming through more question marks than the Riddler.
