Review of Monsters (2010) by Bence L — 24 Jul 2011
I'd describe Monsters by dividing it into two parts. The sci-fi part and the romance part. Neither of them is trying to be extravagant, which makes both surprisingly authentic. The CGI, including everything from the creatures to the scenery is pretty good and the little love story gives dimension to the thing.
Eventually I ended up not being annoyed by anything about this movie. Everything is well balanced and written and the fact, that you actually can place a little love story into this without the whole thing getting mayor league dull proves how well the sci-fi world is set up.
I don't think that anyone could have done a much better job executing this idea, So for what it is, I have no problems with giving this the highest rating. 5/5.
