How do you do a sci-fi monster film with no budget? Easy, focus on the characters. Like 'Moon' this film doesn't have the budget to show huge battles and loads of aliens but chooses to present believable characters dealing with their unusual situation.
This is more of an indie film than a blockbuster but I prefer films like that most of the time and both of the actors are brilliant with their 'less is more' approach to acting. If you liked 'Moon' and 'District 9' you should really enjoy this.
If you prefer your alien films more 'Battle :Los Angeles' then this isn't going to be for you.
