Monsters is not a bad movie, but the pace is so slow and the exciting scenes so few and far between that it doesn't quite pass muster. There are a number of scenes where it almost gets interesting and then quickly fizzles out leaving you frustrated that there's a really good movie in there somewhere struggling to get out.
