Review of Monsters (2010) by Tazio G — 04 Nov 2013
Samantha Wynden: I don't want to go home.
"Now, It's Our Turn To Adapt.".
Independent films have come a long way since who knows how long. Films like this are what keep my faith in the industry. Gareth Evans' skillful direction and extremely different premise grabs your attention right from the get go. What I can't believe is how he was able to make "Monsters" on a rumored $500,00 budget. Regardless, this was an amazing experience and the two performances by Scoot McNairy & Whitney Able are just as captivating as the premise. The music, cinematography, special effects, all handled precisely. The last 10 minutes was one of the most powerful ending I've witnessed. Hands down, this will stand as a gem for years to come. Bravo Mr. Evans, I'll be looking forward to Godzilla!
