Review of Monsters (2010) by Anna B — 25 Apr 2014
The characters can be annoyingly dumb at times, but I ended up kinda invested in their romance by the end, to my surprise. And I liked how the movie's concerns were decidedly not with the monsters themselves and more with the human drama on the ground.
This results in a fairly muted pace, and one which probably doesn't lend itself to re-watches, but I found it enjoyable. And that final scene is breathtaking.
