Review of Monsters (2010) by Victor M — 17 Sep 2014
If you find a Film named "Monsters", probably you expect to find a film full of them in a explicit way. But this British smart, film show them clearly near to the end, however the monsters occupy more or less half of the Mexican territory. Another interesting issue, because most of the times the alien monsters seem to attack only the most developed countries. Most of the times the monsters presence are suggested by their noises, offspring or the stories about them.
"Monsters" also has a critical political side. The great wall constructed in the border between USA and Mexico obviously refers to the actual situation. And this strategy to bomb every place without concerning the environment it seems much known to most of us.
Finally, these alien monsters normally attack as a defensive maneuver, they are not "evil itself". And we were who brings them to Earth, or not?
The film budget was less than US$ 500k.
