Irritating dialogue and an uncharismatic male lead, coupled with a story that kind of starts and goes nowhere with very little to say or do, make this a kind of pointless movie.
It's not all bad, just thoroughly underwhelming for all that I had heard about it. also Gareth Edwards did a fine job with Godzilla, so I expected this to be better.
