Review of Monster-in-Law (2005) by Evan S — 19 Dec 2010
"Monster-in-Law" is a pitiful excuse for a film. It's goal is to be a romantic comedy, but ultimately fails to achieve this feit. It so goofy and contrived. Fonda chews scenery and overacts her part as the psychotic mother.
Lopez is pitiful, terribly acting her part, acting like a female who keeps braking her nails on each object she touches. Sykes is just completely a nuisance, making viewers want her to completely vanish from the movie.
It is just an annoying film full of stupid, nuisance characters that no one wants to meet or know. It is not funny, just plain sad. One of many lame comedies.
