Review of Monster House (2006) by Lizzie W — 11 Sep 2010
From Gil Kenan, Monster House is a pretty good movie but once again, it is not great. The reason for this is just one thing that kind of annoyed me; there are certain parts where it borrows morally from Forrest Gump.
The first scene is where it borrows the beginning of Forrest Gump where the feather falls to the ground. However, it is an autumn leaf. The next scene is where Chowder says a memorable quote from Forrest Gump to Jenney; "Jenny, I've always loved you".
So that is why this film is only 80% and not 100%.
