With animated features almost being monopolised by Pixar it's great when I stumble across something with a completely different feel. Monster House does exactly that. It's pretty much a Horror film for kids and it is a little too dark for younger viewers who may find some of it quite frightening... I certainly did!
Although the story line is pretty basic the bold visuals, purposeful direction and excellent voice cast make this an instant hit. It has that great combination of fun, laughs, horror and action that does not disappoint. A great bit of fun for all the family.
