Review of Monster High: Fright On! (2011) by Eva R — 31 Jan 2015
The pack is strength. The pack is life.
A group of vampires and werewolves off to Monster High School find it hard to get along. Forever it has seemed the two have battled and now it's hard to believe they could learn together without killing each other. A group of kids internally have become friends and try to convince everyone it's okay to work together; but when one of the friends turn up missing, a fraction forms in the school.
"Don't forget your place or I'll make you remember.".
Three directors combine to deliver this nice beginning to the series. I found it very entertaining and a nice diverse group of lessons, characters, and sub plots. The animation is fairly good and presents the characters well and the voices are well selected and not too corny.
"Maybe it's time to use soap and water instead of just your tongue.".
We had seen these characters on shirts at Wal-Mart and Target so I decided to add them to my Netflix queue. I was surprised at the quality of this film, especially after having seeing a very poor film in this series. I thought this was a nice introduction into the universe and I'd recommend giving it a shot.
"Spoiler alert: we're not friends.".
Grade: B.
