Review of Monsieur Verdoux (1947) by Dean B — 27 May 2007
My second favourite Chaplin film. If 'The Great Dictator' was Chaplin coming to terms with the age of 'sound', this film is Chaplin embracing all it had to offer with open arms. Shame America didn't feel quite the same way upon its release.
