It's a hard truth that no American film can rival the artistic elegance of Monsieur Lazhar. We are too impatient. Phillippe Falanrdeau has directed a masterpiece. The pacing, acting, cinematography, sound design and plot pace are flawless.
This the first movie that has brought tears to my eyes since the film version of Billy Budd. - Erie Chapman, The Hollywood Sentinel.
