Review of Monsieur Ibrahim (2003) by Helen C — 20 Oct 2009
Well done film about a Jewish boy who befriends a Muslim shopkeeper. Omar Sharif brings warmth and depth to his character Ibrahim. As we see life through Momo's (Pierre Boulanger) eyes...we digest every bit of wisdom from Ibrahim bet it family, women, and life in general.
My only beef with this film was the ending. I won't spoil it for you...but I didn't feel the necessary emotion that was required. But despite that...this movie is worth watching.
