Review of Monkeybone (2001) by Jason B — 05 Jun 2010
Brilliant film, once again proving Henry Selick's Talent as a director, and eye for animation. Theis film gets alot of undeserved flack, (and was recently featured on "Bad Movie Beatdown") and bombed at the box office.
I really like Selick's work here, and I think it really stands up to his other films such as "Nightare before Christmas", and "Coraline". I can't change anyone's personal opinion, but The reason this movie is so goofy and weird.
...is because it's SUPPOSED to be goofy and weird.
