Review of Monkey Warfare (2006) by Kate G — 06 Aug 2007
Some funny moments, and Don McKellar and Tracy Wright are always a pleasure to watch, but this film didn't do much for me.
I suspect that, for the rough genre (I'd put it in with "The Anarchist Cookbook" and "Go Fish," neither of which I much liked), this is a well-crafted film.
I don't much like the genre.
I want to like it, I really do, but I don't: it irritates me.
Sorry.
Maybe if Don McKellar had actually been the writer and director, instead of Reginald Harkema, this would have been a much better film?
