Review of Monkey Shines (1988) by Sanjid P — 14 Nov 2010
One of my favorite late 80's horror thriller which I saw twice before but that was quite a long time ago (when it first came out here in VHS!). In this nice & slowly evolving gripping thriller Ella aka Boo (the monkey) gave an award winning performance as it delivered perfect expressions in every sequence.
But the greater aspect of this film to me is it proves once again how much caliber the Master of the Dead holds as a director...he shot it beautifully with some class camera works. Surely going to add it on my unfinished list of all time favorite horror films.
