Review of Monkey Kingdom (2015) by Kevin R — 23 Jan 2016
He'll learn.
A Temple Troop of monkeys have a hierarchy social system that leads to weakness in the society. An organized group off militant monkeys move in on the tribe and threaten to take its land. The hierarchy will need to learn to work better together and each other's survival techniques if they hope to hold off the invading monkeys.
"We are like ninjas.".
Mark Linfield (Earth and Chimpanzee) and Alastair Fothergill (Deep Blue, Chimpanzee, Bears, Earth, and African Cats) collaborate to deliver Monkey Kingdoms. The storyline for this picture is very unique and fun to watch unfold. The characters were very entertaining and Tina Fey delivered a great narration.
"Happy Birthday Cake.".
We watched this as a family over the Christmas holidays and really enjoyed this film. There is a nice blend of drama and humor mixed throughout the story. This is worth seeing with your children but may not be worth adding to your DVD collection.
"15lbs of hunky monkey.".
