Review of Mongol: The Rise of Genghis Khan (2007) by Eric B — 31 Mar 2009
Sweeping epic on par with Braveheart and 300, without the excessive Hollywood-factor. Often subtle, with gorgeous shots of Mongolia/Kazakhstan.
The plot is simple: basically a love story between Temujin (the future Ghengis Khan) and Borte, but of course, with battles and violence and all that good stuff. Can't wait for the sequel.
