I don't like how movies always turn success-driven figures into a sensitive lover boys. Be it bank robbers, be it drug lords, be it the war mongul Geghis Khan. It is just not realistic.

I don't like the focus of the movie. I am more interested in how he made history, than how much he suffered and his love life. There should have been a Mongol II on why he decided to expand his empire, how he made it big, what he did, before they conclude his achievements in words.

They also can't reason everything with a cute wolf. For example, they have to tell us why he got the power and fighting skills. What's with the wolf which doesn't age? They might as well make him a talking wolf. What's with lightning? I guess I can tolerate some myth in ancient history...

Lots of KTLs running around in the movie. It gave me a peek into the mongol's way of life, which is foreign to me.
