Review of Moneyball (2011) by Damjan R — 15 Jan 2014
While the proposed statistic strategy applied by this Billy Beane guy is wonderfully pragmatic, 'Moneyball' reminded me how little I cared for baseball, thus making it harder for me to fully appreciate this critically acclaimed film.
The two hours plus running time didn't help either, especially for a movie that killed too much time by showing old baseball clips. Catch it if you can as it does pitch a smart approach to base a sports team around but it still strikes me that this may be slightly overrated.
