Review of Moneyball (2011) by Brandon W — 24 Sep 2014
I have always loved Moneyball when I first saw it, and it always has been one of the best sports film I ever see. It still hasn't change my opinion as I still love it. Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and the rest of the cast are fantastic in this.
The script by Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zallian is really good and very tight. There are funny moments in this, and also exciting moments. It has a bit of a slow pace, but I was very invested of what's going on.
There are barely any baseball scenes in Moneyball which might throw some viewers off, but I thought the drama succeed it. What's also great is the ending that its not necessarily actually be a happy ending that you think it is, it's refreshing to see something like that and it doesn't ruin the film.
Bennett Miller has made another excellent film and I can't wait to see more of his films.
