Review of Moneyball (2011) by Patrick K — 04 Feb 2014
This was one of the best films you could watch about statistics/money. Maybe im biased as a baseball fan but then again im not an Oakland A's fan but the story of that season from the front office viewfront is amazing.
Brad Pitt is brilliant as A's GM Billy Beane, he sells the role that well that you'd think he was really the GM. Jonah Hill was pretty good as his assistant Peter Brand who step by step took a cash strapped team to a record breaking season despite falling at the last hurdle.
It promoted a new attitude in baseball and it was a story well told and well acted. Not too sure if it will be as well received by those who aren't baseball fanatics like myself but those who are well just enjoy a pretty good movie.
