This is the best sports movie I have ever seen. The usual clichà (C)s that have long plagued the genre are nowhere to be found here.
The real beauty of this film is that it isn't really about sports so much as what sports do to you. Brad Pitt shines big time. The scenes of him smashing bats are brilliant, addressing the stresses of managing a professional sports franchise. In fact, I think that's what Moneyball is really about, how crazy such a thing can drive you. And then there's the beautiful ending where Beane realizes it's time to just calm down and "enjoy the show". So beautiful.
