Review of Money Monster (2016) by Scott O — 21 May 2016
Perhaps the most underrated film of 2016, Jodie Foster's "Money Monster" is as socially relevant as any film in the last decade. I haven't felt this way watching a film since the original "Purge" came out in a way that has really shown a microscope on contemporary society.
Whereas "The Purge" was more satirical, "Money Monster" is more an in your face look at how we all relate to money. Whether you own one million dollars or one dollar, this is an extremely important film and one that seems to have been panned by critics and audiences alike.
Doesn't change the fact it's a great and important film.
