Review of Money Monster (2016) by Alex M — 21 Jun 2016
Money Monster.
A desperate investor takes a financial advice television show set hostage after the host's stock recommendation leaves him destitute.
Almost everything works for this film except for the execution of the scenario (which is a big deal). Money Monster has a poignant message in a post-Enron era and has a fair share of tense moments but, while still possible, the film's storyline comes off as highly unlikely due to the director's lack of attention to detail.
Grade: C+.
Big Al says Money Monster is a renter.
