Review of Money Monster (2016) by Jess_Hill — 12 Jun 2016
A tense, fast paced thriller, this was a very engaging, somewhat stressful, experience. The performances are universally excellent, the script is superb, and the storyline is one which is satisfying and saddening, with a number of well crafted moments which surprise.
This has a very similar feel to Inside Man and, though it's not quite as polished, Foster delivers a gripping commentary on the financial crisis and the disconnect between 'Wall Street elites' and the 'everypeople' effected by the fallout of a flawed system.
A polished, considered film. 8.
