Review of Money Monster (2016) by Brent_Marchant — 14 May 2016
A sometimes-implausible but nevertheless taut thriller that never disappoints. Filmmaker Jodie Foster has delivered her best directorial work here, with a nicely paced, well-acted, edge-of-the-seat offering with just the right touches of social commentary, satirical cynicism, comic relief and lessons in responsibility.
George Clooney, Julia Roberts and (especially) Jack O'Connell turn in excellent performances in bringing this showstopper to life, one not to be missed.
