Review of Money Monster (2016) by Joe T — 22 May 2016

Bernie Sanders Rally meets Dog Day Afternoon without the benefit of Al Pacino! Pretty much a predictable hostage movie. Clooney and Roberts give mediocre performances for a mediocre plot. One novel scene has the cops track down bad guy Kyle's pregnant girlfriend ostensibly to have her talk Kyle out of blowing up the Clooney, Jim Cramer-like character only to have her berate him instead and drive him closer to the edge I gave it 3 stars for no particular reason except that it provided an hour and a half of entertainment on an overcast day at the beach.
